Google Calendar turns ten years old today with new "Goals" feature
A new feature called "Goals" is being added to the Google Calendar app. This is a very simple, but useful addition to the calendar. Simply type something like "ride bike three-times a week" and the calendar looks for the best times for you to ride those three times based on your schedule. The Google Calendar app will take a look at the meetings you have planned and any special events coming up, and will schedule the task accordingly.

If you simply complain to the Google Calendar app that you need to exercise more, you will be asked a few questions in an attempt to narrow down the possible time slots for the task. And if you add another event that produces a conflict in your schedule, the Calendar app will recognize it and automatically find you a better time with no issue.

The new feature is introduced on the10th birthday of the app (Happy Birthday Google Calendar!), and it is offered to those using Google Calendar on iOS or Android. Thanks to Goals, you no longer have an excuse why you can't get into shape, finish that term paper, or accomplish any task on time.
