Gingerbread coming soon to the HTC Droid Incredible 2

It appears that the HTC Droid Incredible 2 may be the next Verizon smartphone to be graced with an Android 2.3 Gingerbread update (software version 2.18.605.4). This is according to the Verizon Support site, which now lists the update instructions and what all is to be included in the 116MB file.

Improvements include better device connectivity while roaming globally on GSM/UMTS networks, fixed Mobile IM and Hotmail sync, a new Download Manager app, power management details, better word selection and copy function, and improved stability to prevent resets and lockups. There will also be a new Wireless Charging UI, which will show the wallpaper and pop-ups when the phone is charging wirelessly, and a new Desktop Dock app.
