Future update to messaging app Allo could bring a "Quick Selfie" feature and more

Google's Allo messaging app could be soon receiving a number of new features. According to a report published yesterday, one of the new features coming in an upcoming update is called "Quick Selfie." With the update, a new camera icon is added to the side of the text entry field. Tap that button and the shutter button, and you'll be given the opportunity to send your selfie to the person on the other end of your chat, or you can throw it out.

The same report says that Allo could soon offer a way for you to backup your conversations, and bring them back using a new backup and restore feature. And you could soon gain the capability to place stickers on top of photos that you've snapped. The last rumored update would allow group chats to go incognito. Keep in mind that there is no guarantee that any of these rumored features will soon appear on Allo.

To see how the Quick Selfie feature would work, check out the brief 8-second video found at the top of the story. Do any of these possible new features appeal to you?
