Elevation Dock for iPhone gets Kickstarter funding: a gorgeous stand that just works
The Elevation Dock for the iPhone is something you’ve probably secretly wished for all the time, but could never quite formulate in your head. Well, there’s Kickstarter for that - an iPhone stand that fits well, stands firm and that allows you to easily remove the iPhone from it. Jerking the case to free the phone doesn’t count. The Elevation Dock will also work with or without a case following Apple’s principle to have things that just work. The project is also beautiful and will complement your existing iOS device looks.

The Elevation Dock project already got funded with the sum reaching the whopping $130,000, way more than the $75,000 goal and it’s soon to become a reality. Pledging $59 or more would get you the stand, but later on when it hits shelves, that price is expected to grow to $90.

The folks behind the dock worked with a specialized metal finishing company to arrive at a finish similar to those on Apple products: “its hand buffed, glass bead blasted, electro-chemically micropolished, hard anodized and sealed.”

Then there’s also the Dock+, which adds a shielded Line Level audio out and a USB wall power adaptor. Interested? Hit the source link below for all the tiny details and explanations.
