Don't blame us if you're drooling after watching this official new product video for the LG Q6

LG released a new product video today for its latest new smartphone, the mid-range LG Q6. The phone, originally thought of as a mini version of the LG G6 flagship, does feature a 5.5-inch FullVision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Depending on the version you select, the phone could feature 4GB RAM and 64GB of native storage (LG Q6+), 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage (LG Q6), or 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage (LG Q6α).

The video details some of the features available for the phone, including the sturdy frame made from series 7000 aluminum. This is the same material used in the production of aircraft. And instead of using your fingerprints to unlock the handset, the LG Q6 remembers your face. A 13MP camera is on back, and a 100 degree wide angle camera shoots selfies and handles video chats. Food Mode makes your meals look spectacular, and the Square Camera Mode produces collages made up of square images.

Key Asian markets will be the first to carry the LG Q6, and that will be sometime next month. After that, launches will take place in Europe, Latin America and North America. Want to see the handset in action? Simply click on the video at the top of the story.

What about the price? Should be less than 350$ for sd435. BTW, if priced right looks like a great alternative for budget.

I say less than 220. The G5 Plus has a 625 at 240.

Whoever titled this thread must've forgotten that the Note 8 is coming out AND that this phone is an LG.

I like what lg is doing, bringing the near bezelless design to their more affordable phones. Can't wait to see what lg power 2017, galaxy a3 2017 and sony compact 2017 will look like.

They already have the G6+, and the regular G6 already is selling in the $400 tier. So what's the point of releasing this Q series again?

Rear facing speakers, no fingerprint sensor (no way face recognition is as efficient, reliable as FPS, which just unlocks phone within barely a second) It's almost like they heard about the rumours of Apple dropping FPS on their iPhone 8 for a face recognition solution and just wanted to be the one "who did it first"-ish or to "stand out from the crowd". Well, psych LG, you just dropped a pretty important feature for something worse, didnt you. Can't expect this mini version of the flagship to have a decent price either. Just another product which won't sell well, imo.

I'm. Sorry but with no finger print scanner NO sale, face recognition is just not secure or as quick.
