The T-Mobile version of the
LG G Pad X 8.0 has received the December 1st security update. Besides the latter, software version V52120l brings minor software stability and bug fixes to the slate. When the notification appears on your tablet telling you that the update has arrived, don't continue the updating process until your tablet is connected to a Wi-Fi network. In addition, make sure that the battery is charged to at least 50% before installing the new files. You also need to have enough storage on your tablet for the 95.3MB update.
Since the update is being sent out OTA, it might take a few days before it actually hits your LG G Pad X 8.0. If you are the impatient type, you can try to manually coax the update out of your tablet by going to
Settings >
General >
About tablet >
Update Center >
System updates >
Check For Update.'
The LG G Pad X 8.0 was launched in 2016 with Android Marshmallow pre-installed. In the beginning of this year,
the tablet received the update to Android Nougat. And for now, outside of a security update sent out every now and then for the T-Mobile variant, this is where the tale ends.
