Cortana puts in a full day in the U.K., starts giving out evening reminders

Each morning, Cortana lays out a road map of the day ahead, reminding you about things like the meeting you have in the afternoon with the Henderson brothers to go through their contract. You also get an updated weather forecast for the day so you know if you need to bring an umbrella. And besides news headlines, you also will get the latest traffic conditions for the commute to the office.

In the U.K., Cortana will now give you a road map of your upcoming evening. Do you have anything planned, like a dinner engagement? What will the weather be like once the sun goes down? How bad is the traffic for the commute home? Your personal assistant will answer those questions, and more. Most importantly, Cortana's evening reminders will tell you if you have a morning appointment that requires you to make it an early night.

Microsoft has done quite an admirable job getting Cortana up to speed. And with BlackBerry Assistant having launched on BlackBerry 10.3, Cortana is no longer the baby in the virtual personal assistant family.
