Check out the Oukitel K10000 in action; handset carries a massive 10,000mAh battery
Back in June, we first told you about the Oukitel K10000. This handset includes a huge 10,000 mAh battery that will keep the phone powered for days. Last month, we showed you in a video how a number of K10000 units working together, generated enough power to cook noodles. And about a week ago, we told you that the phone was available for pre-orders.

Today, Oukitel has released a new video for the K10000 that shows off the phone in action. The device carries a 5.5-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280. The MTK6735 chipset is under the hood, featuring a quad-core 1GHz CPU. 2GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB of native storage. An 8MP camera graces the back of the unit, while a 2MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video chats. Android 5.1 is pre-installed.

As you might imagine with such a large power plant, the Oukitel K10000 is 14mm thick, but that is the price you have to pay in order to not worry about outlets for a few days. The phone can be pre-ordered from GearBest for $239 USD. Use the coupon code K10000, and the price drops to $199.99. The Oukitel K10000 ships on January 2nd.

I saw one of their videos where their battery won't explode even if pierce. They have a different design from the regular batteries. http://www.phonearena.com/news/Oukitel-K6000-uses-a-safer-li-polymer-battery-that-doesnt-go-boom-VIDEO_id74751

I'd take that side any day. Problem is these phones are rarely efficient. But in a phone from the big brands, mmmmm.

You've got personal choices, not everybody think like you. And I think this will appeal to many people who want longer battery lives in thie phone.

The 14mm thickness is forgivable, people have bags so it won't be always in the pocket. 8mp camera is ok since not everybody have a photographer's instinct. The question is oukitel's optimization. If both software and hardware have flaws then that 10000 will just be another 2500 just like what zenfone's draining issues today.

Give me the same 10,000 mAh battery on a high-end phone and I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
