Just when some folks out there were expecting to see
Windows Phone 7 powered devices from Nokia’s bounty, it appears that we’re still going to get a tasting of Symbian with an upcoming device headed to North America.
In a recent Bluetooth SIG filing, it reveals the
Nokia C5-04, with its unmistakable
T-Mobile branding, will be bound for North America bringing along the remnants of the old platform. Aside from the telling tale that this device will be headed for T-Mobile, very little is known about it. So far, it seems like it’ll be focused for the
budget conscious segment of the market – meaning, it could potentially be made as a prepaid option as well.
So if you still have a subtle yearn to experience Symbian in its full form, the Nokia C5-04 would probably be able to satisfy your desires – but then again, so can a
Windows Phone 7 powered Nokia handset. We’ll see what happens with this one in the meantime.
