Bitbop is Fox Mobile's T.V. service for your phone
With Hulu's licensing situation keeping it from providing television service for even those soon to be Flash enabled handsets, Fox Mobile has stepped in with Bitbop. Currently in beta and working only on certain BlackBerry models (Bold 9000, Bold 9700, Curve 8900 and Tour 9630), Bitbop has 25 content providers including Fox (natch!), NBC and CBS. The service's web site lists shows like Glee, Family Guy, CSI: Miami and 30Rock to name a few. The service will work over Wi-Fi and 3G and for now is free although the web site hints about a $10 a month premium plan that gives you unlimited, full-length network shows with no commercials. Movie rentals also appear in the works. Bitbop is expected to find a home on Android and the iPhone. Head over to the source link and you can sign up for an e-mail to alert you when your phone is supported by the service.
