If you have a decent enough memory that goes back a few years, you might remember when the 3300mAh battery inside the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX was considered to be huge. Now, companies like Gionee   are offering phones with a 5000mAh battery. Another company with such a well-endowed handset is Asus. Today, the company introduced the Asus ZenFone Max, which features a 5000Ah battery. The device can also double as a power bank to help power other devices.

Besides the huge battery, the Asus ZenFone Max features a Gorilla Glass 4 protected 5.5-inch screen with the resolution of the display unknown for now. Under the hood, you will find the Snapdragon 410 chipset. That means the phone is driven by a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 306 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside. A rear-facing 13MP camera features an aperture of f/2.0, laser auto-focus and a dual-tone LED flash. For selfies and video chats, you can turn to the front-facing 5MP snapper.

Since the Asus ZenFone Max won't be launched until October, Asus is mum on pricing and availability for the moment.
