As the puck drops on the new season, NHL GameCenter is updated for iOS and Android
With the NHL season about to start, there are some changes to the league's official mobile app. The app now includes live play-by-play for free from any contest, with no blackouts like last year. In-game highlights can now be viewed, and the most important news from around the NHL is available for your perusal. Thanks to the redesigned menus, with a single swipe you can track the latest social posts about your favorite team, along with video and news.

If you subscribe to the premium NHL GameCenter Live, you will be able to stream live NHL broadcasts with new multiple camera angles. One angle added for this year shows an overhead view of the two goalies. A sidebar next to the video of the game has been added, and it will update other games around the league.

It looks like just the App Store listing of NHL GameCenter has been updated at the moment, with the version for the Google Play Store expected to be posted at any moment. If you love hockey, this is the one app you need to follow your team and the rest of the NHL. Will the Kings hoist Lord Stanley's Cup for the third time in the last four years? Will the New York Rangers make it back to the finals? Download the app and find out for yourself with the start of the new season.
