Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus review: 10 key takeaways

If you are anything like us, you've already either got an iPhone 7 or a 7 Plus or at least pondered the idea of grabbing one in the near future. Of course, you might also be holding back on these due to one reason or another, but regardless, it comes to no surprise that Apple's latest phones are among the very best ones you can spend your hard-earned money on in late 2016.

They've got the snappy performance, they've got the killer camera experience we've grown to expect from Apple, and finally, they sport a new design that has probably won over many folks who remained unimpressed with iPhone 6/6s' looks.

Just in case you've missed it, our reviews of the two new iOS devices have been up for some time now. However, we have a confession to make - you'd probably find them a bit too lengthy for your taste if you're in a hurry. That's why we decided it will be only fair to highlight some key takeaways of the review in a concise form, in a form that is easy to take home.

"They sport a new design" It is not new but an "improved" one. And yes they look alot better than 6s. Be a little more professional pa...

I just scrolled and read the entire article in a blonde Californian accent in my mind. Seems like it would sound that way.

Peter K, why you deleted my post? I just asked what kind of pills you use, beside your pink, sorry - rose gold glasses that you were. New design? Watch Jerry Rig Everything and learn why Apple remove headphone jack and write at least one decent article. Guys, tell me good sites for mobile review to stop visiting iPhoneArena. Thanks in advance.

I literally can't not believe this article. Killer camera? New design? Defending the NEEDLESS 3.5mm removal? 32gb storage is a revelation? This is just too much

It's like the reviewer has no experience with anything beyond Apple phones, but even beyond that some of the comments are not even true in regard to previous Apple devices. It's very strange.

Poopie? Get lost? If that's the kind of adult Apple produces, I don't want Apple.

I wish I could remove that +1 I gave you by mistake. No I phone are for people that do not know what true tech is. That needs something simple to use and for the status quo.

You upvoted someone you disagree with, by mistake? Haha, that's quite funny. :D PA should (re)include the downvote option.

Yeah I screwed up lol . It was this one by piyath "Don't complain. iPhone is for adults...boy Get lost poopie" He must be about 12 to use a word like poopie. Yes , we need a down vote option.

This article sounds more like an ad for iphone 7/7plus. It's unbelievable

DCI-P3 is mostly used for video projection, why is it being used on a smartphone?

Before apple, wide color gamut beyond rgb was a con now it's a pro because apple has done it

"When it comes to photography, the iPhone 7 Plus is the more attractive offering" This make me hilarious.

"Camera experience to die for" while it lost both blind and non-blind camera test on this site... it lost to 6months-old smartphone.... by mile...

You know it's bad when even the Apple fans complain. :-)

All they need to do is over saturate and over contrast and they're even ;)

Nope. Not by a mile. By a little bit. STILL iPhone camera is well balanced, realistic and consistent than S7. Not to mention the dual camera advantages you get off of the plus model. iPhone is not for every one... It's for more realistic, modern, future proof people. Not for so old school people like you. Speed is everything. When you lag, you LAG. You will lose the game when you are too slow and you can't deny that. When Apple introduce Amoled tech to iPhone 8, Galaxy era will be over..lol

Galaxy would've moved on to a higher tech by then. By the way, you're running the wrong race.

Never had any lag on Note5. Maybe if you compare it to S4, yes the lag was pretty bad then, but certainly not now.

Then why did the s7 kicked @zz in the blind camera test that even iphone fanboys voted for the s7. Its proven the iphone camera is no better then last year's iphone.

Apple fans picked the S7 in a blind test against the iPhone 7. http://www.imore.com/best-smartphone-camera

Peter K, wake up. On every comparison out there, iCrap 7/7+ is pathetic versus Galaxy S7/HTC10 and even Nexus 5X/6P. How can you say it has killer camera?

There is more to a phone then just hardware. I have had the S7 Edge and Iphone 7 plus. The 7 plus is much faster because the os is much more efficient. Both phones have pros and cons. Samsung pay is much nicer then apple pay in my opnion for one I can put membership cards in it. The apple integrates better with my car stereo... I really liked the Camera on my s7 edge but haven't had much time to try out the camera on the iphone 7 plus yet to compare them. I will miss the micro sd card slot on the s7 and wireless charging. Both good phones in my opinion though...
