Apple iPhone 6s pre-sales on record setting pace
On Saturday, pre-orders for the new Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus began, and according to Apple, reservations for both handsets are at a record-setting pace. When the new iPhones are actually released on September 25th (a week from this coming Friday), Apple says it now expects to top the 10 million in first-weekend sales it rang up last year.

Last year's iPhone sales received a boost from the larger 4.7-inch screen used on the Apple iPhone 6, and the introduction of Apple's first phablet, the 5.5-inch Apple iPhone 6 Plus. The larger screens offered by Apple led to the return to iOS by many consumers who had switched to Android handsets with 5-inch and larger displays.

This year, new sales will be driven by the 3D Touch feature that allows the screen to differentiate between a light tap, a regular tap and a stronger tap. The rear camera is now 12MP and shoots 4K video, and the front-facing 5MP camera uses the screen as a flash. 2GB of RAM is apparently inside, along with the A9 chipset. The new Rose Gold color option has already proven to be a hit as the longest wait times for shipping (3 to 4 weeks) are mostly being seen for different versions of the Rose Gold colored Apple iPhone 6s Plus.

Thanks for the tip!
