Apple Pay goes live in Spain
Apple Pay is now supported in Spain by Banco de Santander and American Express. Customers of the two banks can now add credit and debit cards to their Apple Wallets and perform contactless transactions in a large number of sales venues around the country. Apple Pay is also supported via Carrefour's PASS system for contactless transactions and can be used for purchases with Edenred vouchers.

Currently, around 75 percent of all stores in Spain have point of sale terminals with support for contacless payments, which should help increase the adoption rates of Apple Pay among Apple users in the country. Apple Pay works with the iPhone SE, iPhone 6 and all later models, the iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 3 and later, as well as the Apple Watch.

Apple Pay works worldwide, so long as you are shopping in a store with point of sale terminals that support contactless payments and your bank supports the service.
