Android 5.0.1 comes to AT&T's LG G3, U.S. Cellular's second-generation Motorola Moto X
The AT&T version of the LG G3 has started receiving Android 5.0.1. The update weighs in at a hefty 689.53MB and started rolling out this morning. The Android 5.0.1 update brings lock screen notifications, the new 'Recent Apps' menu, Lollipop Material Design, Project Volta, the ART compiler and more.

The update is also available starting today for those U.S. Cellular customers rockin' the second-generation Motorola Moto X. As we told you earlier this morning, Motorola has had not been able to push out the update to the OG version of the phone because of problems making it work smoothly with the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor used on the device. All of the other Motorola Moto models, including the Motorola Moto E, employ a more recent version of the Snapdragon chip that allows Motorola to update those phones.

Because of the large size of the update, we suggest using a Wi-Fi network when downloading and installing Android 5.0. We also recommend having your battery charged to at least 50% before starting the updating process.
