Android 4.0 update for the HTC Amaze 4G is now live and ready for the taking
Right on cue, the HTC Amaze 4G for T-Mobile is seeing the light of day with its expected upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, as the update is now available and ready for the taking. Of course, it follows after the HTC Sensations 4G, where its update was rolled out back on May 16th.

Naturally, a notification should be popping up right about now, indicating that it’s ready for download over-the-air or through Wi-Fi. However, if you haven’t received it yet, you can manually initiate the process yourself. Before attempting to download it, just be sure that the handset’s battery life is above the 50 percent mark. In terms of new features, it’s pretty much the same set that we reported coming along with the HTC Sensation 4G.

Specifically, they include the following:

  • Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
  • Sense 3.6
  • System bar enhancements to easily view recent apps.
  • Re-sizeable widgets
  • Lock screen actions including pull down notifications and adjust volume while device is locked.
  • Data usage controls.
  • Face Unlock
  • Home screen folders
  • Improved battery life
  • Improved text input and spell checking
  • Improved menu structure

So there you go HTC Amaze 4G owners, you should be extremely happy that it's now sporting the most up-to-date version of the platform! What are you waiting for? Grab that download as soon as possible to experience the full offerings of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
