The Alcatel One Touch Idol X has just gone official and it’s the company’s new Android flagship: a device with a 5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core chip and an extremely slim 6.9mm body. The phone comes in bold colors - it's advertized in yellow and red.

The One Touch Idol X runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Alcatel’s light skin on top. The 5-inch 1080p display is protected with Dragontrail glass and is fully laminated. Under the hood, a quad-core MT6589+ chip with each of the cores clocked at up to 1.5GHz and 2GB of RAM power the device. The Idol X comes in a single and dual SIM versions and you can pick between a model with 8GB of internal storage (single SIM) and one with 16GB of internal storage (dual SIM).

The phone features a 13-megapixel auto-focus camera with LED flash that is capable of recording videos at 1080p. Up front, there is a 2-megapixel camera, great for video conferencing.

Finally, the battery on the Idol X is a 2000mAh one, not a lot by today’s standards. The Idol X release date and price have not yet been unveiled.
