Acer Iconia A3 is a 10” affordable tablet with IntelliSpin for better location awareness
The Acer Iconia A3 has just gone official. The Iconia A3 is a very ordinary 10.1-inch Android tablet with a very affordable price and the only thing that makes it stand out is a new IntelliSpin technology for better location awareness. Basically, this sounds like Acer built-in a better accelerometer in its tablet, so the screen will always show in the right direction.

Apart from that, the Acer Iconia A3 is just one more Android tablet - and a fairly heavy one at 600 grams (1.3 pounds). In terms of thickness, this is not the slimmest nor the thickest tablet we’ve seen - it’s right in the middle with 10.1mm thick body.

Acer includes a 1280 x 800 pixel display, a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, and 16GB and 32GB model. The rest of the specs include a 5-megapixel rear camera, storage expandable via microSD cards, a micro HDMI port and Blutooth 4.0.

All of that however comes at a very alluring price tag of 250 euro ($330) for the Wi-Fi-only model that is set to launch in October, and 300 euro ($395) for an Iconia A3 with cellular data, and the release date for that is November. All that is European release date, and it’s unlikely that the device will launch in the United States.
