Back in October, we showed you training material for T-Mobile reps that revealed a dual life for the Alcatel Idol 4S. Sure, everyone knew that the handset was rockin' Android 6.0. But when no one was paying attention, the same device was being sold at T-Mobile powered by Windows 10 Mobile. Not only that, but this variant of the phone does include a VR headset that comes out of the box. Actually, to be more accurate, the VR headset is made out of the box.

While the Windows 10 Mobile version of the phone has been available only from T-Mobile in the states, it now can be purchased unlocked from the Microsoft Store priced at $470. If you can't remember the specs of the model, we can run through them again. The Alcatel Idol 4S sports a 5.5-inch display carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 820 SoC is under the hood, with a quad-core 2.15GHz CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of native storage. For those seeking additional storage, there is a 128GB capacity microSD slot. A 21MP camera can be found on back, while selfie snappers have an 8MP front-facing camera at their disposal. Keeping the whole shebang powered is a 3000mAh battery.

The Android version of the phone has a higher resolution 1440 x 2560 display, and features the Snapdragon 652 SoC under the hood. It also has a smaller 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. And the rear-facing camera weighs in at 16MP.

If you're interested in the unlocked version of the Windows 10 Mobile powered Alcatel Idol 4S, you can visit your nearby physical Microsoft Store. Or, you can click on the sourcelink to visit the online Microsoft Store.
