Three Samsung Galaxy devices to gain Galaxy Gear compatibility, Android 4.3, within weeks
Samsung has announced on Monday that the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S III and the Samsung GALAXY Note II will all be adding compatibility with the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch via a Premium Suite software update. No precise date was mentioned, although Samsung said that some owners of the three devices will start to receive updates as soon as today. Others will receive the Premium Suite within weeks. Samsung also announced that the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini and the two Samsung Galaxy Mega models will receive an update in the next few months that will make the devices compatible with the Galaxy Gear. Currently, the watch works only with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The features of the update vary by carrier and include Android 4.3. In addition, the so-called "flagship experiences" on the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be added to the Galaxy S III and the GALAXY Note II such as Easy Mode, which allows smartphone and Android newbies to have a home screen full of widgets and apps, and Multi Window which allows multitaskers to use more than one app at a time. Other features from the current flagship that will be available on the other two models includes advanced camera functions, and other new features.

The update will also make the three models ready for Samsung KNOX which allows business users to safely use certain applications like the browser, contacts and the calendar for work related purposes, without having to worry about a security breach. This allows owners of these devices to use them for both work and play.
