Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-orders delayed at Best Buy

Best Buy has sent out an email to those who pre-ordered the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 from the big box retailer, telling them that their phones will not be shipping until May 9th at the earliest, and May 20th in the worse case scenario. Best Buy is giving those who pre-ordered the device until the date that it ships to change their mind and cancel the order. Once it ships, Best Buy will assume that those who ordered the phone still want the device and will send out tracking information so that those who pre-ordered the phone can follow its trek.

While the Sprint version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 was available for some Sprint customers to pick up this past weekend directly from the carrier, we do know that the carrier has a supply issue with the device which explains the email from Best Buy. For the sake of those who pre-ordered the phone from Best Buy, we hope that the unit gets shipped closer to May 9th than May 20th.

"We're sorry, but the fulfillment of your recent pre-order is taking longer than expected. We expect it to arrive between May 9 and May 20. To keep you informed of its delivery, we'll send tracking information once the item has shipped.

If we don't hear from you before the order is shipped, we'll assume you still want this item and accept this delay.
