Android 7.0 Nougat update for Sony Xperia X Performance available starting today

Sony today started rolling out an official Android 7.0 Nougat update to the Xperia X Performance, almost one month after releasing a Nougat beta program for the same device.

For now, it looks like the Nougat update is available only to Xperia X Performance units in select markets like Australia, Russia, and Latin America, but we assume it won't be long before it reaches users worldwide. The update, with firmware build number 39.2.A.0.327, is being delivered to the Xperia X Performance (model number F8131) and the Xperia X Performance Dual (model number F8132).

The Xperia X Performance becomes Sony's very first device to receive Google's new version of Android.

The next Sony handset to get Nougat should be the Xperia XZ, followed by these models: Xperia X, Xperia X Compact, Xperia Z5 (all versions), Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia XA, and Xperia XA Ultra. Most probably, some of these devices will not be updated before the end of 2016.

If you own a Sony Xperia X Performance, let us know if you're receiving the Nougat update, will you?
