Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 arriving exclusively on Verizon Wireless on March 1st

Verizon Wireless has just announced that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 will land exclusively on the carrier on March 1st. The Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and runs on Android 3.2 Honeycomb. What might set you back though is the price - the Tab 7.7 costs $499 on a two-year contract. This means that you’ll be tied to paying a minimum of $30 for 2 gigs of untethered Verizon LTE data.

Not getting ICS is sweetened up by the fact that Samsung has tweaked Honeycomb with its Peel Smart Remote application that turns your tablet in a universal remote control.

This would be good for a wifi only device, but not on a contract.

Seriously? Like who would buy this? 7.7 inches with no confirmation that it will get 4.0? oh yeah and there is a contract LMAO. Go get a ipad2 or ipad3 without a contract.. This tab will be featured on woot.com in 90days

Completely agree! Why would I pay $500 ON CONTRACT for this device? The screen will be amazing, but that still only gets you 350-400. I would only pay 500 if that was the retail cost, not the 2 year cost.
