Samsung Galaxy J2 visits GFXBench, specs revealed

The Samsung Galaxy J2 has been benchmarked on GFXBench, revealing some of the phone's specs. A previous pass through the site earlier this month produced some different readings than what we are about to lay on you now. According to the most recent information, the Samsung Galaxy J2 will feature a 5.7-inch screen. We think that could be off by an inch or so.

When the phone was posted on Indian import-export site Zauba, it was described as having a 4.7-inch screen. Secondly, the Samsung Galaxy J1 and Samsung Galaxy J5 have a 4.3-inch and 5-inch screen respectively. A 4.5-4.7-inch screen would fit in between them, more than a 5.7-incher would. Lastly, with a 540 x 960 qHD display, a 5.7-inch display would produce a pixel density of 193ppi. So we should assume that the Galaxy J2 will be equipped with a screen in the range of 4.5 to 4.7-inches.

Under the hood will be the Exynos 3475 SoC, with a quad-core 1.3GHz CPU and the Mali-T720 GPU. 1GB of RAM is inside with 8GB of internal storage. Of that amount, 4.3GB is available to the end user. A 5MP camera is on back, with a 2MP snapper at the ready to snap selfies and handle video chats. Android 5.1.1 will be pre-installed.

Samsung has yet to introduce this model, but we do expect the phone to be unveiled in the not too distant future.

Thanks for the tip!
