Samsung GALAXY Note III, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 rumored to be unwrapped in September at IFA
According to a Samsung insider, who is anonymous, the next big (and we mean BIG) introduction for Samsung could take place in September with the unveiling of the Samsung GALAXY Note III. The size of the screen in the series has risen from the 5.3 inches seen on the original Samsung GALAXY Note to the 5.5 inch panel on the Samsung GALAXY Note II. Speculation of the screen size for the GALAXY Note III has ranged from 5.9 inches to 6.3 inches. The current leader in screen size for a smartphone is the Huawei Ascend Mate which offers a 6.1 inch glass. The unveiling of the Samsung GALAXY Note III is supposed to take place at Berlin's IFA show, which starts September 2nd this year.

At the same time that Samsung unveils the latest version of its tablet, the Korean manufacturer will also introduce the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, the latest in that line of Android tablets. While no specs were revealed by the insider, he did say that the first-generation Samsung Galaxy Tab tablets will no longer be updated. He said that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 slates will be updated to Android 4.2.2, which will be the last update for the Galaxy Tab 2.

after the S4 ruled the mobile world, the Note III will be the next big thing indeed. Like it or not. Samsung always on the top.

the Note size is getting close to that of tablets
how to put it in our pockets?

4. ajac09 posted on 20 Mar 2013, 15:53 6 13

a 7 inch tablet fits well in my pocket so 5.9 to 6.3 note 3 should fit as well lol

i think the whole front part of your pants is its pocket or maybe your country standards differs from other countries. LOL
my XZ and S3 dont fit in my pocket well, specially in sitting position.

As long as the bezel is very small, the Note 3 would only need to be a tiny bit larger than a Note 2 to fit a 6.3" screen.

the note 2 can easily fit in your pockets In the netherlands, for man at least:D

"how to put it in our pockets?"

With 1080p resolution and some work on packaging, it might be possible to fit a 6-inch diagonal screen in the present Note II footprint. We will find out what Sammy has done in September, though.

Excited for both of these devices. I think I'm going to skip the original Galaxy line to try the Note series.

Make no mistake people. The Note III is the going to be the best phone of 2013. It doesn't matter how you feel about Android, IPhone, WP8, Blackberry, Ubuntu, etc. I had a galaxy nexus last year and looked at the Note 1 as something I could never own cause of the size. It really intimidated me with its size. But then Samsung released the Note 2 last October. I felt the same way about the size at the time. But the specs. Oh the specs. Quad exynos with LTE, 5.5 inch Non pentile screen, removable 3100 mah battery and sd card. Unheard of at the time. Bought it in October at T-Mobile. Even if you spend a hour messing with the phone. You'll never understand how boss the Note 2 is till you have it. It's for this experience, why I have to have the Note 3. Samsung just gets what people want.

Don't know why you got the negative votes. I am waiting for the Note III to drop on VZW. The most frustrating thing about the Note III will be how long I have to wait for it to become available on VZW. My Note II is the best phone I have had to date.

15. TreyTreyTaylor posted on 20 Mar 2013, 17:35 8 1

Don't know why either. Haters been lurking lately ;)

17. HouTexan posted on 20 Mar 2013, 17:39 7 1

I don't know why the negative, either. The Note III will surely be the beast of all beasts this year and I will be patiently waiting, as I did for the Note II.

I've owned two Note II devices (AT&T and International), and while they are the best phones Samsung has ever made, and easier to hold than the Note I was, I was not completely impressed. TouchWiz is a bloated, ugly mess and the build quality was poor. Before you say "you could root it and get rid of TW," I did so and was extremely disappointed. There are, in the same way that affects the S3, no truly great ROMS for Galaxy devices because Samsung withholds sources. So, to sum, you can use the garish mess that is TW, or you can ROM and get a half-assed camera and kernel implementation because Sammy doesn't provide the necessary source code. Call me when Samsung offers a well-built phone that doesn't suffer from cracks on the corners from ordinary use and offers stock Android.

I own the Sprint version Note-2 and I have to agree with you, the only thing I'm jealousy of, is how fast the nexus brand gets updated, other then that, the Note 2..is a beast!

WE WANT SPECS FOR GALAXY TAB 3!!

14. cR203 posted on 20 Mar 2013, 17:21 5 1

September???? That's a long time from now. The note 3 will be one of the greatest phones released this year. I'm waiting for it.

ND OTHER GR8 PHONEZ WILL BE MOTO/GOOGLE X ND NEXUS 5....

20. EXkurogane posted on 20 Mar 2013, 21:35 1 8

Everyone already know how it will look like. A bigger Galaxy S4, and also in plastic as usual Meh... Just a bigger Galaxy S4 with S pen support, most likely of the same specs except screen size of course. The predictability doesnt make it exciting anymore.

22. xperiaDROID posted on 20 Mar 2013, 22:15 4

But I'm excited!!

Dear Samsung. .we probably know
That d note3 will be armed to the teeth with a high end processor
Like snapdragon 800 or one of ur own top of d line exynos series,
3gb(if possible higher) ddr3 ram..a rich 1080p display..a plethora of software features,n an improved s pen .
But please make the note 3 a bit different than the note 2
Dnt repeat this mistake which u made with designing d s4..
And try to get rid of the flimsy plastic back cover..
We would be ever so grateful. .
Yours sincerely
( a very happy note2 owner )

How is it a rumor that the Note 3 will be announced in Sept. when pretty much everyone who knows when Samsung releases their devices would know that the Note 3 would come out in the fall?

26. kclgphilsbsa posted on 21 Mar 2013, 05:13 1

im waiting for the next note 10.1 :(

27. adrianzka posted on 26 Apr 2013, 08:12

I'm using note 2 and have not regret buying it for one second. Even when they announced gs 4 i still love my note 2. Although the note 3 will be a diffrent story as it's beast and it shall be in my hands :-)
