Nokia N9 to make appearance during MWC with Intel inside
Next month, the Nokia N9 is expected to be introduced during the MWC in Barcelona. Note that we said "during" the MWC and not "at" the MWC. That is because like last year when the MeeGo OS was introduced, the Finnish based company is not exactly scheduled to make a presentation at the show. Instead, Nokia will make its presentation at a location nearby the MWC.

With a 1.2GHz Atom processor rumored to be on board, Nokia continues its partnership with Intel which itself is trying hard to break into the business of providing processors and chipsets for cell phones. If the speculation is dead on, the N9 will be Nokia's fastest handset to date. The phone will have the Nokia-Intel produced MeeGo OS under the hood, feature a 12MP camera and be equipped with a QWERTY keyboard.

With "Intel inside", perhaps Nokia will get more than just a passing look from Stateside carriers with the N9.

Yes, but does it have a MicroSD slot? That's one of the few reasons I won't be buying an E7

what an ugly phone. hope its not the real thing. nokia really need a winner and if they think this is the one , they are dead wrong.

Its 1.2GHz and not 1.2Mhz. Please change

That is likely wrong information. N9 will most probably have Texas Instruments OMAP processor and Broadcom BCM2763 Multimedia Processor (best in class) for 1080i output (trough HDMI). There might be a Nokia tablet with MeeGo and Intel Atom soon too.

Exactly what im thinking. They already went through the trouble to port it to the ARM platform, why throw all that work away?

Nokia are getting worse, they are now struggling - competition are getting ahead of them.

Am I wrong or did the prototype that was leaked a time ago, have a 5 Megapixel camera or so? I can't remember it had a 12 Megapixel camera??

I hope they make more phone's with N8-camera!! Because N8 has crappy Symbian and to small screen (i prefer 3,7 inch - 4,2 ").

I just hope this monster comes state side...i've been waiting for this phone ever since i got my n900, and if it comes state side, preferably T-Mobile, then we will see some nice competition in the smart phone market......

Some of you people crap crack me up. @shafeer-Nokia is stuggling where? True, they do not have a great market share here in the states, but they are still the largest smartphone maker in the world by far. @ryq-why wouldn't this handset be a winner? Specs are great. The operating system(from what has been seen)is awesome.

Imo they will use either ST-Ericsson U8500 or TI OMAP4.

This is a mistake or a joke, the N9 will come with OMAP 3 or OMAP 4 plus BCM2763
it's 100% sure. Not the moorestown , which is not optimised for phones yet...!!

Nokia is behind the times...I bought a Nokia N8 and it's been the worst phone that I ever owned. Sent it back for repair over two weeks ago and even thought they received it over a week ago they have no status?! They might be the Number one handset company out there but look what happened to Toyota? It won't take look for Samsung to over take them....shame because they used to make some great phones......

Ive also been waiting for this phone since I purchased my N900. But if it fails to live up to its potential then Ill be keeping my N900. All the other phones out there are generic. I have big hopes for Meego, come through Nokia!!!!
