I also like WP8 and right now I have a hard time deciding between Android and WP8. Unfortunately I can not yet decide as there's too much secrecy around the WP8 features. I am especially interested in how WP8 will operate in mass storage mode. Android has a strong point in allowing me to have access to files.
21. Mobile-X-Pert posted on 11 Sep 2012, 06:05 6
There are lots of interesting features coming along with WP8, just wait until octuber 29th which is when it's going to be unveiled.
25. Suts_97 posted on 11 Sep 2012, 06:33 4
Yes, that's right, having mass storage mode in WP8 would be great, and i hope it turns out to be true.

cant wait to touch that monster phone!!

I so love the lumia 920 but the problem is its so expensive... LOL!.. XD
14. iced_heroine posted on 11 Sep 2012, 05:41 6
here in the philippines, the price is already predicted, and it will be like around 27, 000 - 31,000 pesos, more like $670 - $750..
well, SGS III is around $800 here and iphone is like way high,, about $1000... so i dont mind buying the lumia.. :D
23. Mobile-X-Pert posted on 11 Sep 2012, 06:18 5
I'd rather pay a premium price for a well-built device. This phone doesn't even need a case cover and the buttons are made of ceramic.
34. Eingild posted on 11 Sep 2012, 07:51 0
Lol where did you get that? On gray market, iPhone is priced as low as P27,000 (around $630). Maybe you should refrain from looking at mall prices. They pretty much rob you off of your money most of the time.
48. iced_heroine posted on 11 Sep 2012, 10:37 0
P 27,000? u serious? if there's an iphone thats worth 27K, i will surely buy one, or i already have one now.. in the philippines. iphone is considered a fashion phone.. and gadgets of the rich kid... and the lowest price hire is like 35K.. a 16gb iphone4s..
50. shadez10 posted on 11 Sep 2012, 11:13 1
yes thats why i dont mind buying it cause its too expensive and also i still have my GS2 and its still good to these days standards..
and im from philippines too... i really dont like crappy apple products... its just a waste of money... its like your just paying the brand not the product... their products are good but hey there are other products with the same value and better..
53. iced_heroine posted on 11 Sep 2012, 12:39 1
tama parekoi!!!
you are so correct with that...
and look at this lumia 920... not that expensive and it has almost everything you want for a phone...
great design,. fluid UI. superb camera, and etc..
well, i also love iphone for its sexy design... but the price tag!! no way!! i'd rather buy a new laptop with that $1000.
12. wendygarett posted on 11 Sep 2012, 05:37 8
If you think that it can't sell well because of non-removable battery or no micro SD, YOU ARE WRONG!!!
26. Suts_97 posted on 11 Sep 2012, 06:38 6
thumbs up for you, most of us don't require any memory above 32GB, and if people would buy an iPhone with 16GB, why not a Lumia with a whopping 32GB, on top of that, there is Skydrive for cloud storage as well.
22. DigitalKiran posted on 11 Sep 2012, 06:07 3
Well its an impressive or innovative(whichever you call) but i like this phone. If its priced lower than s3 and oneX THEN its definitely my next one. Since using android for the last two year i think its the only worthy shift.
24. papss posted on 11 Sep 2012, 06:19 4
Im one of the 81% as well. I may be switching if the price is right
27. rancor1223 posted on 11 Sep 2012, 06:38 2
I still doesnt understand where do people get money for that... I looking for something like Lumia 710.
29. Mobile-X-Pert posted on 11 Sep 2012, 07:02 2
There will be a Lmia 710 succesor, look it up under the code of ''Zeal'' and ''Flame''.
42. rancor1223 posted on 11 Sep 2012, 09:20 0
I know there will be. There must be. I am just saying, that those phones are awfuly expensive.
44. Alistaire posted on 11 Sep 2012, 09:34 0
Nobody know the pricing yet. With a 2 years contract, the price really should be quite affordable.
And if you could wait 6 - 8 months or longer after the phone release. I'm sure the price will be lowered to next to nothing.
Look at the Lumia 900. It's practically free with contract. And I still love my Lumia 900.
54. haseebzahid posted on 11 Sep 2012, 14:03 1
i heared contract is cheap to buy after paying for 2 years u calculate the totall is way over the actuall price like over 4 figures is that true cuz it aint in my country yet
30. KangLee posted on 11 Sep 2012, 07:06 2
I have used Lumia 900 before and I loved design of Lumia 900. Unlike most of Android phone, it feels really nice and different. Too bad that it came out bit too late. 920 should sell like hot cake. There are still alot of people who would buy Nokia's phone because it's Nokia.
32. Credo posted on 11 Sep 2012, 07:19 3
I am using a Lumia 900 cyan and i also love it, but i would be dissapointed if they don't release a cyan 920, yellow and red are nice but i prefer cyan, black is a litle bit to random :)
37. Mobile-X-Pert posted on 11 Sep 2012, 08:36 3
Have u seen the white one? I looks awesome!!!! with those black buttons.
38. Credo posted on 11 Sep 2012, 08:51 2
Yess i like the white one ! The buttons are indeed awesome, i will buy white or gray if there won't be a cyan one, but fingers crossed :D
45. Alistaire posted on 11 Sep 2012, 09:38 1
I have the white unicorn lumia 900... it's beau-ti-ful... ;) I will still get a white Lumia 920. I love the yellow but will probably get sick of it after a few months.
39. -box- posted on 11 Sep 2012, 09:00 1
I feel exactly the same way. I love my cyan 900, and I get many questions and compliments on it.
If they don't come out with one, I'll either get the yellow (75% likely) or gray (25%) as I don't like the monochromatic colors, too generic.
It'll be a bit annoying as I got cyan USB charging cables and the Nokia siicone/gel cover for it, and I really like the looks of the upcoming cyan NFC accessories.
I almost feel like I'd have to get other yellow stuff to complement the phone, like shoes with yellow inserts or a yellow cap or something.... My wife has been a strong influence on me dressing better.
51. Credo posted on 11 Sep 2012, 12:21 0
but there is maybe hope for uss, when they announced the new devices, they say that they introduce NEW colors, i never heard that they say that they introduce only these colors or that these will be the only one's, so i'm hoping for it, i don't wanna end with white/black/gray :'( i will be heartbroken :)
Greets

Just as I thought - wp 8 supporters are mostly Nokia fans who don't want to ditch their brand.
And just as noticed before, this will be a double edged sword for windows phone - other manufacturers will mostly keep away and opt for Android instead.
40. -box- posted on 11 Sep 2012, 09:04 0
I don't think it's just us Nokia fans who want it. It's a genuinely compelling device: well made, great features, unique, and it has an underdog thing going for it against Android (especially Samsung) and the fruit company. That it has the undeniably best cellphone camera outside of the 808 PureView is an added bonus.
I wish I had been able to have one (either the 808 or the 920, but preferably the 808 for what I was doing) for my honeymoon, as the pictures would have been much better than the Nokia C7 and Lumia 900, HTC Sensation, and Blackberry Torch my wife and I took along with us (travelling light and to beaches, didn't want to take our DSLRs)
As for OEMs moving away from WP to Android, I think it's a mixed bag. OEMs know that Android is popular, but they're also in the seat underneath the sword/knife, as the metaphor goes, if apple decides to go against them like they have for Samsung and HTC. It's also difficult cracking into the majority each OEM has on each platform, as there is less of the metaphorical pie for each additional manufacturer.

Dear Android fans,
Here is darac, a shining example of why you guys have a bad name on tech blogs these days. Sorry, I feel your pain.

Nope. I switched from Iphone 4 to Nokia Lumia 900. And it is my very 1st Nokia ever. And I'm loving it! Absolutely beautiful solid architecture.
35. maverick786us posted on 11 Sep 2012, 07:58 2
If Microsoft wants his WP8 to be a grand success. It can only be achieved with the help of Nokia. So MS should compromize and let Nokia littlebit costomized its UI so that it looks different than rest of the other WP8 devices.
PS: HTC Accord still looks good. But Samsung Ativ is crap in terms of UI. With Lumia and Accord the UI matches with the hardware
43. Alistaire posted on 11 Sep 2012, 09:29 1
I for one left IOS for WP7.5 Lumia 900. And will get the Lumia 920. And I know a least 4 other friends ready to switch from Iphone 4S to Lumia 920...
My sisters has switched from Iphone 4S to HTC One X and SGIII. I would say that there are more people migrating from IOS than reported.
47. drazyw posted on 11 Sep 2012, 10:14 0
I would love the 920 but it won't be available on Verizon so I guess Nokia will continue to suffer low sales with a flagship limited to one carrier and Verizon will continue to support only low end Windows Phones while complaining they don't sell enough Windows Phones to invest in more Windows devices. It's a vicious circle.
49. Loubielou posted on 11 Sep 2012, 11:08 1
Its The Functions Available on Windows that deters people from trying it,When you have been to using Bluetooth Sending An Recieving,an using the Radio,an have your own micro sd card with your Songs an Photos on it,an then with the 920 you lose these Functions,Nokia had these on Symbian phones but then Microsoft seems to not want these on Windows so you Switch to Android were they are Available to use again, you do not buy a mobile just because of the camera on it,so Grow Up Nokia if symbian phones can have full functions Why?can"t Windows have the same

haha... not really motorola might be a good to buy phone coz of its upcoming intel base phone...samsung's international version of s3 and the upcoming note2 (coz i think note2 will have different chipset when it will arrive in the US coz of LTE...so im hoping that Exynos and even Tegra and OMAP will support LTE now! Snapdragon enjoy its monopoly so much) and i hope these new intel chips will be LTE ready!
so yeah...even im not an android fan, motorola, samsung and sony is still goods to buy!
but agree that lumia 920 should be everybody's next phone coz its really amazing! they should give it a try!! so i hope nokia will price the phone like lumia 900 did! coz its not really as hot as we/they think it is on US market..coz US market is still flooded with iPhone and android royalties namely the razr MAXX, s3 and oneX... its all carrier's top 3..
i wish nokia will be back on top and a real 3-horse race begin!
