Strictly unofficial, but very tempting information has appeared about the Motorola ATRIX 4G, which is expected to be released first in Best Buy. “The atrix is coming out before the samsung and htc 4g phones announced at ces on att [sic],” a member of the Android Central community who claims to work at Best Buy spilled beans about the upcoming ATRIX 4G.
The information allegedly came from a visiting AT&T district representative, who added that the dual-core ATRIX 4G is coming out earlier than expected and the latest rumor projected an early release on March 1st. Sammy unveiled the Samsung Infuse 4G for AT&T and the Samsung 4G LTE smartphone for Verizon, while HTC had the Verizon-bound HTC ThunderBolt and AT&T-headed HTC Inspire 4G unveiled.
The rumor goes on to state there will be no changes in data pricing on AT&T so far. Pricing however might change as the carrier is expected to start rolling out its LTE network in mid-2011.
The ATRIX 4G is currently the most powerful of all upcoming “superphones” with 1GB of DDR2 RAM working along the dual-core processor. With a strong fourth quarter and bright prospects, it might just turn out that AT&T has surpassed Verizon in terms of customers. Stay tuned as the earnings results for Verizon are expected later today and AT&T is announcing their results in just two days.
