Lenovo's beast of a smartphone, the K920, to be announced August 5th, full specs now available
Lenovo showcased its new flagship -- the K920 -- at an event in China some month and a half ago, and it appears that the company is gearing for an actually release very soon -- on August 5th.

The K920 is Lenovo's most impressive flagship yet, and it's literally filled to the brim with bleeding edge hardware that will leave nobody wanting. We're talking a 6-inch, Quad HD (1440 x 2560) IPS display by Japan's JDI, apparently capable of brightness levels of up to 630 nits, an LTE-enabled quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, and 3GB of RAM. There's also a 16-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization at the rear (5-megapixel selfie cam), 32GB of internal storage, support for two SIM cards (LTE/3G), and a massive, 4000 mAh cell. Now that last one ought to ensure excellent battery life, even with a QHD display on board.

Still not impressed? Well, consider this: the Lenovo K920 is made out of metal, just like the K900 before it, and its thickness measures just 7.7 mm. If that wasn't enough, the phone also comes with extremely thin bezels all-around, and the screen-to-body size ratio sits at 83.5%, reportedly. If true, that would rank the K920 at the very top on that metric.

Pricing is currently unknown, though we don't expect this one to be cheaper than at least the equivalent of $500, all things considered. Quite frankly, we'd be very intrigued if it weren't for the K920's massive, 6-inch screen, though we're perfectly aware that this category has more than enough appreciators. Would you pick one?

wow... its beatiful and beastly speced... I buy it if the price tag will not be above 500$... lenovo has a problem of pricing their phones higher... if high price then ofcourse samsung, lg, htc are there

Yeah very beastly, but personally I'm not a fan of very small bezels, my 925 has wide bezels and I frequently do accidental touches on the sides.....

Yeah but they need to price this one *right*....$550 or below would be a killer

Lenovo has a habit of mis-pricing their products

or else consumers will opt for the obvious choice (eg Samsung, Sony, LG)

It would literally be perfect if it had the SD 805.

Never recalled any Lenovo flagship that 'wowed' consumers

it's either overpriced or underwhelming or a combination of both

overpriced?

not really sure about that though.
Vibe X can be bought for a mere 220 USD in my country, off-contract.
while Vibe Z is selling at a sweet 350 USD, even cheaper than Galaxy S4.

Seems cool but too big. Hopefully Motorola gets some of that screen ratio and 5" screen.

The 6" display is a turn off though. Not all people bring ladies' handbags, some (or most) still prefer putting their phone in their pockets.

6 inch is too big. If they kept it at 5 and had an 85% bezel ratio. I would have been sold.

Will it have U.S.4G LTE bands? Will it be stuck at 4.2.2 for its entire lifespan? The phone sounds awesome, though...

Yes for the specs, but no because of the HUGE screen. Too big for my small hands.

The spec looks right. I wonder how does it perform.
