HTC One X, One S to launch on April 5 in the U.K.
First the good news: we have an update regarding the HTC One S and HTC One X release dates. Both smartphones are expected to hit the shelves on April 5. Now the not-so-good news: word comes from sources in the U.K., meaning that the U.S. release dates for the two smartphones may vary. The April 5 release date for the Tegra 3 powered HTC One X comes from U.K. carrier O2, which spilled the beans in a tweet this morning. Meanwhile, online retailer Phones4u is already accepting pre-orders for the HTC One S with shipping expected to begin on that very same day.

However, that the chaps in Ol' Blighty are getting the HTC One S and HTC One X in a few weeks does not guarantee that U.S. carriers will also launch them in a timely manner. All we have right now is the promise that the smartphones will be released this spring with no particular release date set in stone yet.

Still, since the HTC One S is launching so soon, it looks like the manufacturing of Snapdragon S4 chips may not be troubled after all, contrary to recent speculations. And that is good news for the HTC One X as well, since the U.S. model that will launch on AT&T will drop the Tegra 3 processor in favor of a dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip.

Anyone excited about these two smartphones coming to the U.S.? Let us know by dropping a comment below.

I'm still hoping for that rumor about the One X quad-core with no Sense interface for T-mobile...

Same here. I'm really hoping it's stock 4.0 with the option to put Sense on it as a ROM. My life would be complete then.
