Asus and Apple lead the way in sales of tablets in Japan
Toshiba recently became the first Japanese based tablet vendor to offer a Windows powered slate. That was back in November with the launch of the Toshiba Dynabook Tab VT484. The report goes on to add that 8 inch Windows powered tablets have helped increase demand in Japan for the platform, one of the reasons why some researchers expect the OS to pick up more market share in Japan's tablet market. The 8 inch slabs compete against the Apple iPad mini and the Apple iPad mini with Retina display. Both of those tablets feature a 7.9 inch panel.

No suprise. iPads are very good all-round tablets, fast, well-made, light, great accessory and app ecosystem. Asus makes Nexus 7, which is beast even compared to two times more expensive tablets. And pros of iPad mostly apply to it too.

Like Z1f which defeated apple in mobile department, now its time for Sony to step up with some great tablets as well. A great successor to Tablet Z and a 8 inch Xperia Tablet can easily help Sony take a good piece of market share. Vaio Windows Tablets are great as well.
Just want to see some more from Sony in Tablet category.
