Alleged photos of Apple iPhone 6 show protruding camera
Now, the infamous protruding camera moves from an image on a computer screen to an actual photograph. Naturally, the pictures you see below should be taken with the proverbial grain of salt, as such a design might be easily faked. But, just in case there's some truth to all these rumors of the iPhone 6 coming with a slightly protruding camera, this is what it might look like in reality.
Photos allegedly showing the Apple iPhone 6, confirms the protruding rear camera
Thanks for the tip!

No shi*. Of course they have to make it protruding if they want to continue the trend of "the slimmest iPhone yet"

I don't see an issue with thicker phones, I prefer them in some ways, it feels sturdy and comfortable.
11. ArtSim98 (Posts: 3305; Member since: 21 Dec 2012)
Agree. But Apple seems to have an obsession of making their phones thinner and thinner. What will it be in 10 years? Probably no phone at all lol.
29. nohatenofanboy (banned) (Posts: 515; Member since: 15 Jul 2014)
and samsung will follow that trend. wait and see. thinner galaxy phones will be standart
31. engineer-1701d (Posts: 1229; Member since: 13 Mar 2014)
they already do that but it makes the battery suffer so no sales tells them dont do it. i think in 10 years we should all have implanted chips at birth. i wish that now but guess we will have to wait
37. nohatenofanboy (banned) (Posts: 515; Member since: 15 Jul 2014)
they cant hold against trend. apple couldnt make it so they produce large screen phones (even phablet)

Didn't you know that? Sammy is the biggest iFan of all time.
And I think Androtakus simply love Apple : they literally swarm on Apple related articles like this.
56. PapaSmurf (Posts: 8922; Member since: 14 May 2012)
It's so ironic because you swarm to Samsung and Apple articles. Want me to provide at least ten links? Didn't think so.

Chinese are getting so fast these days that it feels apple has started copying Chinese designs..
15. neela_akaash (Posts: 176; Member since: 05 Aug 2014)
At first i thought it was Meizu mx4....
21. Pattyface (Posts: 525; Member since: 20 Aug 2014)
Fast at what? Copying? They shamelessly do it so much that even if it's a great phone I won't spend my money on it.
32. engineer-1701d (Posts: 1229; Member since: 13 Mar 2014)
apple is copying the huawai company they have the thinnest in the world, with hi specs not like apple mid specs, but you have to admit if not for the round button this ip6 would look just like a htc m8 rip off. why do you think apple made a deal not allow htc to use a patten or 2 from them with no fees if htc would not be allowed to sue apple . think about this for a sec its not hard, they had no idea what design to go with so htc won last year design so they copy the m8 prototype and flatten it a little bit and know you have a iphone 6 its not hard to see cook and design team have no idea what design would work for a ifan on a bigger screen.
i found a video from 2010 talking about how apples closed system will end the company, think about net neutrality thats what apple is now they used to be stand up to the man dont let them control you and now its them stopping tech growth. jobs would work hand in hand with a company and then turn around and sue them saying its mine mine you cant have it. i be leave he dies a bitter old man not seeing where the tech world could have gone if he did not cause so many problems with law suits.

Seeing the same crap all summer. there's nothing new
60. TruthSpeaker (Posts: 47; Member since: 28 May 2014)
There seem to be a number of other manufacturers that already make phones that are as slim, or slimmer, without a protruding camera.
Is the camera sticking out an innovation? ;)
67. KRONeage (Posts: 61; Member since: 17 Apr 2011)
Just admit it! ......not only did they copy Samsung's screen size, they're now using Polycarbonate like Samsung and they copied the location of the power button too. With the camera protruding from the back, Apple has now copied that too. Besides so many other features! Apple is now confirmed to be the Biggest Copyist since they first stole the GUI and Mouse!!! ;-P
btw.... just to give you iDiots a dose of your own ignorance on this whole, "wah... wah... Samsung copied Apple... wah sniff... sniff.... cry" routine!
69. ArtSim98 (Posts: 3305; Member since: 21 Dec 2012)
Wow just what the fu*k is this shi* I just read?
btw.... Was there a reason you replied to me other than now you got your comment more up in the comment section?
83. KRONeage (Posts: 61; Member since: 17 Apr 2011)
Wow..... buthurt maybe 'eh and just what the fu*k are you talking about? lol.... The thinnest and lightest smartphone now of big brands is Samsung Alpha 5.7mm. But it isn't even close to the thinnest...... only the lightest weight.
Gionee Elife 5.5mm and it's already been beat by another Chinese phone at 5.4. But new Elife will be less! .....now go ahead be a D**khead, about this comment too! ;-P
84. ArtSim98 (Posts: 3305; Member since: 21 Dec 2012)
Your comment was actually fuc*ing factual no need to hate that for shi*'s sake! BTW I'm not an Apple fan at Fu*king all. lol

The funny thing is that anti Apple People are happily defending typical samsung's strategy of ripping off entire products to the last detail (and if that ripped off company dares to sue them they will attack them too with dozens of patents from the biggest patent portfolio in the industry, to stretch and screw the verdict in their favor. That's not a ignorance routine, it happens every time something great is about to hit the market, Moto 360 is next, will you defend that too ?), while cannot stop accusing Apple of using things like plastic, dual core processors, LTE or even going to bigger screen and how that makes them "shameless copiers".
That's what I call ignorance.
82. KRONeage (Posts: 61; Member since: 17 Apr 2011)
You only need to shop Galaxy S3 (only came w/16GB & 4G LTE) on ebay to see that they are still selling new and used selling for more than iPhone 4s that you paid more for new w/o 4G LTE and only 8GB and ONLY 512mb Ram! WTF?!? lol.... no wonder 4 and 4s won't be supported by iOS 8! haha.....
And dam right companies should think twice about suing Samsung. Apple has the most famous iSueU title in the World and all they really have are software patents. Samsung spends more money on R&D and CAPEX building actual factories they own and developing chip fabrication technologies, memory, processors, CMOS chips for cameras, screens technologies, plastics used in luxury cars like Bugatti Veyron and batteries in Tesla and BMW's.
They're not just some fly by night totally out sourced Design House Only like Apple. As far as Moto 360? Samsung patented the ROUND AMOLED SCREEN Technology.... yes! But Moto and Lenovo have been Samsung customers for a long time. Meaning NO!!!!! ....Samsung isn't into suing their customers like Apple is!
Samsung only sues others when they sue them. Look up their 80yr history. They been all about innovation at the ground level on everything they do. They don't steal ideas as if they could be stolen. They had the first round home button in SGH-Z610. That also had 3.5" Touchscreen with Gestures, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, front n back cameras, stainless steel band around it and across the back, out a yr before iPhone.
So who exactly ripped off who? REALITY? Apple ripped off more stuff from Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, HTC, etc than all other smartphone makers combined ripped off Apple! ;-P ...and that's what I call ignorance in being a deluded Applewellian iProle Zealot in making stupid statements like yours!!!

because it's a clone back of the HTC ONE.
51. stealthd (Posts: 980; Member since: 12 Jun 2011)
because? Seems like a lot of people like the HTC One. Nevermind that these shapes exist in previous iPhones. . .
54. phantom_six_man (Posts: 82; Member since: 12 Feb 2014)
Picture #2 is different look at the side botton, its different from the other photos, its FAKE XD
7. bradley8795 (Posts: 38; Member since: 19 Nov 2013)
Or maybe because in the second pic (the one that shows how thick it is) the phone is in a bumper case.
68. KRONeage (Posts: 61; Member since: 17 Apr 2011)
All because they tried to make it slimmer and failed by removing one layer of the back plane layer. Which resulted in more gray than black... blacks. So now Apple's screen suppliers are having a hard time getting ramped up. They'll be lucky to get enough good screens out of Sharp, Japan Display and LG to launch now.
AND.... that's what they get for trying to compete with inferior IPS screens with like 6 layers instead of like Samsung's Super AMOLED with just 3 to make them thinner! ....ahahaha.... it's going to be another iPad Mini launch fiasco and they don't have Samsung coming in to save the day! :DDD

The pictures of a real iPhone posted by China Telecom show a camera that is not protruding.
Now maybe it has "zoom" where the lens will pop out of its little hole :)
33. engineer-1701d (Posts: 1229; Member since: 13 Mar 2014)
wth its a art pic not a real pic in your site its marketing also dont forget they messed up on the light panel 2 months now they have been trying to fix it and that means its thicker a bit,
so first it was sticking out until the found out the display light would not work so double the light panel and pow you got the flat looking camera and back, and i think that works better for apple fans i dont think people want the camera sticking out.
36. 0xFFFF (Posts: 3737; Member since: 16 Apr 2014)
The BGR link has two pics. The China Telecom one is farther down the page. Here's their source:
The China Telecom pic reminds me of the iPhone 5 which had a stainless steel ring around the lens opening. On the 5S, I think they dropped this silvery ring and have an inlaid piece of sapphire:
62. RebelwithoutaClue (Posts: 1186; Member since: 05 Apr 2013)
The pic is still a render job and not a photograph of a real phone
75. 0xFFFF (Posts: 3737; Member since: 16 Apr 2014)
Yeah, but it the same render as Spigen used as far as I can tell.
I think these renders are from Apple, not stuff that China Telecom/Spigen just pulled off the web from somewhere.
63. AcerStan (Posts: 4; Member since: 24 Aug 2014)
LOL you wish. China Telecom pitures are just fan renders... someone just probably googled iPhone 6 and grabbed the first pictures that came up
Just google "Behance.net Apple iPhone 6" (sorry phonearena doesn't let me post links)
6. BIGGUP83 (Posts: 10; Member since: 08 Nov 2011)
I have to question the integrity of this photo because I doubt that apple did away with the dual flash....
8. 0xFFFF (Posts: 3737; Member since: 16 Apr 2014)
The dual flash is still there, just integrated into the top and bottom halves of the circular flash opening that you see.
9. Heatfan316 (Posts: 453; Member since: 21 Aug 2011)
They better step their camera game up big time, considering how far behind they fell behind other flagships.

The Note 4 leaks look nicer than this.
18. TheMoltenD (Posts: 106; Member since: 13 Jul 2014)
Well the Note 4 is a 2014 top tier phone and will probably be the best phone released in 2014. Meanwhile the 6 will still be a mid tier 2013 one with minor upgrades.
14. fzacek (Posts: 2207; Member since: 26 Jan 2014)
I find it very unattractive, but at least my Nexus 5's protruding camera will all of a sudden become beautiful after the iPhone 6 is released. That's iSheep logic...
16. darkkjedii (Posts: 12618; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
As long as it looks good, it's no problem. 9-9-14 we should see the real deal.
26. neela_akaash (Posts: 176; Member since: 05 Aug 2014)
Wow you liked the design of that goophone so much.....
30. darkkjedii (Posts: 12618; Member since: 05 Feb 2011)
You not liking it, has zero to do with my taste. 9-9-14 we'll see the real deal.

Whooopsie forgot to put Porsche in there
19. Technobri (Posts: 78; Member since: 10 Dec 2012)
they made it android like ...soon the iphone will no longer look like an iphone
23. nctx77 (Posts: 572; Member since: 03 Sep 2013)
Although I'm pretty sure this is pretty much the design of the iPhone 6, the phone in the pic is not the iPhone 6. The dead giveaway is the fact that it has no cut out for the Apple logo. This is another dummy unit that is at least showing an edge to edge screen. The front plate looks closer to leaks.
35. engineer-1701d (Posts: 1229; Member since: 13 Mar 2014)
thats what most of the people questioned on the street say they think its a samsung device watch any video on iphone 6 reactions on youtube
20. Pattyface (Posts: 525; Member since: 20 Aug 2014)
I love the design of what appears to be the 6 actually. I don't like the OS all that much but hardware looks really slick.
24. ciprian.ruse (Posts: 148; Member since: 13 May 2014)
This is step backwards in terms of design. Iphone 5s it's a much better looking device.
71. Iodine (Posts: 509; Member since: 19 Jun 2014)
Oh so ugly... But don't worry it will get so beautiful in next two years that you will be saying that Apple failed in design for upcoming iPhone 7
