Served Me Well

Phone owned for

This phone served me very well. There were hardly any problems at all. The phone has a lot of customizable features, which I really like. I seem to lean toward Motorola phones because of this. You can change a screensaver, desktop wallpaper, color theme, placement of menus, and how the phone book looks and works. I've used this phone well, and it has served me well in multiple countries. I have found that the only problem was an unresponsive charging port. When you plug in the phone, sometimes it will beep, signaling a charge, but a few hours later, when you unplug it, it will still only have one bar. This is a great annoyance when you have limited charging time, or are on a business trip. The phone had excellent sound quality, but I found the speakerphone to sometimes click on and off for a few seconds. The Bluetooth works good, and so does the camera. The speaker for playing music and ring tones has excellent quality, better than any other GSM phone I've seen. I would recommend this phone to everyone who can make use of the keyboard, and I hope Moto makes a successor.

The phone that almost worked

Phone owned for

First off I would not recommend this phone. The A630 was my first cell phone and it worked great, reception was great using it was not that hard; although to access voice mail you need to open up and use the main keypad which is somewhat cumbersome. After 4 ½ months the external display broke (never dropped the phone?), and then the problems arose. After sending in for the display to be repaired the phone rebooted after 10 seconds into a call, the phone was sent in again and the phone still reboots after 10 seconds (battery fully charged and also tried calling with charger attached). If you were to buy new it may be a good deal, but do not buy a used A630 as it may have this rebooting issue.

Faulty Phone

Phone owned for

Charge socket to plug the jack into is always faulty. Sometimes you will have to hold on to the jack to charge the phone. Quick to damage. This is the 3rd replacement I'm using from T-mobile (keep sending a refurbished phone anyway), and it's always the same issue. Besides this, a nice phone to have.

POS

Phone owned for

i scorced the designand the features high b.c is is a neat little phone. sound quality for speakerphone is good but the ear piece is horrible. performance was slow. value of money is really not worth it. i only had the phone for less then 6 months and i had to do a handset exchange on the phone b.c i was having so many problems with it. the problems i had with it are: unresponisve keypad, battery issues, unable to charge and it would freeze on me. the internet connect was slow. the bluetooth worked fine. the qwerty keypad was really good for doing text messaging and other stuff. i would not recommend this phone ot anyone. i have already talked to Motorola about this phone. it is a waste of money. the replacement they gave me was the new Motorola V330. this phone is much better.

Motorola Never DIssapoints

Phone owned for

Great service, bluetooth range is incredible, have not found a device that has troubled me yet. Connection is good with the PC both from bluetooth and usb data cable. Full qwerty keyboard is a huge plus, the screen is perfect to recieve work emails on. Only downside is that the non flip (covered keys) makes keylock required. Battery life has shown to be over 12 hours talk time and I have not seen it die completely on standby ;) The menu has not changed, it is not cluttered, easy to use, and simple, it could be improved, lastly the size may shy some away from this phone, it is not large by any measure, thick maybe?

I would recommend this for anyone that wants something to send/recieve emails on, text messenger freaks, someone who needs an outstanding bluetooth phone. If you like the flip phones, go with the motorola V600, it has the same menu, which as stated could be better, but useful enough.
