Worst phone ever. I've had mine out for warranty repairs twice now. The phone WILL NOT RING when someone calls me, even though the person calling will hear it ring like normal, then go to voicemail. You can't use anything but MIDI for a ringtone, even though you can download pretty much every other format out there, and play the sound on the phone, you can't use it as a ringer. WHY!? Thats just stupid!
Its great for what I use it for but it sometimes freezes, the battery last about two days max which I think thats because the lid opens when you walk so the LCD's screen light up, the flash isnt great at night unless you get into the persons face, and it doesnt record video but other than that ist a good phone.
I have had this phone for less than a year it freezes up all the time and now the phone screens are completly out they are black and you can't see who is calling and it is hard to call out with NO SCREEN will never buy again!!
This phone has the standard kyocera problem of freezing up. It also shuts down by it's self. The battery lasts less then a day. I will never purchase a kyocera again.
This phone is terrible. it freezes all the time. turns itself off and camera is terrible. No video function either which is strange these days. Very dissapointed!!!!
i loike this phone its not that bad i like it because it remind me of the sprint sanyo phones that has the clicky sound when u open and close it and the picture on the front of it i have this phone with revol wireless and its workin for me
This Phone really blows, the phone freezes and shuts dowm by its self. The battery doesn't last that long so I would recommend nobody buys this phone from Criket.
The KX160 does have an MP3 player, the MP3 must be sent to the phone via mms, then save sound. View the saved sound and hit "ok", that brings up the mp3/media player. The following formats are supported on this phone but cannot be used as ringers: AMR,MP3,WAV,MMF,ACR,AND WMA.The phone can only support MIDI as ringtones.
The Bluetooth functionalities are useful but limited, the only option to send a picture is via MMS, Bluetooth is not even an option. The camera leaves a little quality to be desired as well as the LCD quality. The phone lacks an Mp3/media player, video, and memory expansion. Useful features such as flashlight, doodler, and extensive contact list selections are helping this phone along too. Kyocera is stepping up the quality of their products but still playing catch up to the likes of LG and Samsung.
