¬°Great for the Price!

JcHnd has owned it for less than 3 months before publishing this review

Five Words: Best cheap phone to date!

Love the display, the build, the looks and the almost pure android L, i got it on the $99 deal and i can't be happier with it. Definetly worth the actual $150 price.

Updated: A Good Phone That Only Lasted 6 Months

Alphapod has owned it for less than year before publishing this review

Got it to replace a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active after 2.5 years. Expectations were tempered, but I was content until... the speaker went out after 6 months of regular usage. The phone ran great at first, but issues quickly began accumulating. After 2 months, a yellowed spot appeared on the upper left corner of the phone. By 6 months (when the speaker went out and rendered it useless as an actual phone), the yellowed spot was more a bar running down the left side of the screen.

In normal use, the Blu Life One X (2016) was adequately fast, although it was disappointing that Blu reneged on their promise to upgrade it to Android 6.0. The camera was suitably fair, the call quality was fine, and the build quality gave the impression of a nicer phone. Network connectivity was fine, although after about 4 months it started dropping calls at a higher-than-normal rate, especially when transferring towers (I assume, because it was always in the same spots, in areas where I know I have service). Battery life is excellent. The display is good and bright enough to use outside, although the lowest brightness setting can be too bright in total darkness.

Overall, I can't recommend this phone because of the issues I encountered. If you get one that lasts 2 years (or even 1 year) it'll be great, but if you have to replace it every 6 months you're better off paying more for a phone that will last (or paying less for a $70-$80 GoPhone).

Update: I attempted to have the broken phone replaced under warranty....
