webOS 1.2 released, new features support App Catalog purchases
Palm Pre users are now able to download webOS 1.2 which brings a few changes when it comes to purchasing apps and music. The upgrade will allow owners of the device to purchase music from Amazon MP3 over a phone connection. Previously, the phone would have to be connected to a Wi-Fi connection in order to purchase a song. Also, in preparation for buying apps from the App Catalog, Pre owners can now enter credit card information that will be stored with the Palm profile. The profile is where your web bookmarks will be backed-up. An entire list of the changes can be found at the source link. Let us know if webOS 1.2 takes your Pre to another level, or if it is just a band aid on the device.
