Samsung's smart glasses are right around the corner. The Korean company teased the wearable earlier this year during its Unpacked event this summer, but now we have more information about the Apple Glass competitor, thanks to an FCC listing.

Samsung is partnering with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster for the design of its smart glasses, much like Meta and Ray-Ban's collaboration. Our colleagues at Droid Life have now spotted an FCC listing detailing some of the glasses' features and design.
There are two listings showing two different designs for the temple of the device; one is presumably the Warby Parker version, while the other could be the Gentle Monster model.
Model numbers and charging
Sadly, the FCC listings don't reveal many details about the Samsung smart glasses in terms of specs. We can see the model numbers SM-O200J and SM-O200P, and the letters "P" and "J" most likely stand for Parker and Gentle Monster, respectively.
The label on the inner side of the temple shows the input voltage and amperage. 5V at 1A results in 5W of charging power.
From the teaser back in the summer, we know that Samsung is aiming to make the lightest smart glasses on the market, much lighter than the Meta Ray-Ban glasses and the upcoming Apple Glass device.

Samsung smart glasses specs and features
Samsung teased its first Android XR glasses during the summer Unpacked event back in July. | Image by Samsung
Samsung shared its vision for its first Android XR smart glasses back in July. The glasses will most likely use a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chip designed for thin and light wearables. The Android XR platform will support deep Gemini integration with live translation, message summarization, and visual context search.
There will be a built-in 12MP camera using a Sony sensor, open-ear speakers, multiple built-in microphones with noise cancellation, and touch controls on the temples of the glasses.
Finally, you will be able to control the Samsung smart glasses from your Galaxy Watch and, of course, from your Galaxy phone as well.
Korean media reports that Samsung wants its smart glasses to be at least 5 grams lighter than the Meta Ray-Bans, which weigh 51 grams. This puts the target weight for the Samsung wearable at 46 grams.
Samsung's first smart glasses to launch in November
The Android XR-based device is coming this November. The launch month was confirmed by Samsung in an interview with The Korea Herald. The exact date remains a mystery, but Samsung might want to time the launch around or prior to Black Friday in order to capitalize on the shopping spree that November normally brings.
Pricing remains a mystery, but the company will probably want to price its first smart glasses competitively, likely close to the Meta Ray-Bans. Which means we should expect a price tag of around $449.
