Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ live images leak in crystal clear quality
The floodgates are officially open, and Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S10 lineup has been leaking like crazy over the past couple of weeks. Technically, the leaks started a long time ago, of course, but following several rounds of computer-generated renderings and illustrations, we finally get to check out the Galaxy S10 and S10+ in the flesh, revealing quirky stuff like blockchain storage support.
The latest real-world depiction of Samsung’s next flagship design comes from German blog AllAboutSamsung in the form of a handful of live pics showcasing seemingly advanced Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ prototypes from different angles.
If you’ve been following the news, you probably won’t be shocked to see two new “Infinity Display” implementations with screen cutouts for a single front-facing camera on the “regular” S10 and a dual selfie setup as far as the plus-sized variant is concerned.
These relatively large holes, shaped as a circle and horizontal capsule respectively, are positioned in the top right corner of the two ultra-high-end devices instead of the top left placement of the Galaxy A8s “hole-punch” camera.
Speaking of cameras, while AllAboutSamsung has no new information on the specifications of the rear-facing imaging sensors, it’s interesting (although certainly not surprising) to see the Galaxy S10 and S10+ share triple lens arrangements. Keep in mind that the Galaxy S9 featured a single rear shooter, whereas the S9+ doubled down on the photographic equipment. Of course, this time around, there’s also a Lite or E version expected to come with a downgraded dual rear snapper situation.
Although drilling holes into the screens of the S10 and S10 Plus allowed Samsung to essentially eliminate the top bezel, a small but noticeable “chin” is still there at the bottom of both phones, looking significantly thicker than what various renders led us to expect.
Otherwise, these two are pretty much what all tipsters and leakers said they would be. Namely, sleek giants with a whole lot of screen real estate in tow, clean-looking glass back covers, headphone jacks (thank God!), USB Type-C ports, and... what looks like unpolished software, with boot logos bound to change on commercial-ready units.
