At the time of writing, we still have 275 days left in 2026, but we might have already found the phone with the best camera setup for 2027. Reading this, you might think I'm playing an April Fools' prank on you since it's April 1 today. But that's definitely not the case, and I'm talking about the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max, which could feature an insane camera setup, as per a latest rumor.
First phone with such a massive ultrawide camera
Oppo is soon going to complete the Find X9 series with the launch of the Find X9 Ultra and the Find X9s Pro on 21st April. Once that's done, the smartphone maker will most likely shift its focus to its successor family, and we have already started hearing some rumors about one of the models that could be part of it. They're about the camera specifications of the Find X10 Pro Max, which will be a new variant in the Find X series, according to trusted tipster Noah Cat.

For reference, the Find X9 lineup contains four models: the vanilla Find X9, Find X9 Pro, Find X9 Ultra, and Find X9s Pro. If a new Max model is added to the Find X10, it would mean we could have five options: the base Find X10, Find X10 Pro, Find X10 Ultra, Find X10 Pro Max, and Find X10s Pro.
Anyway, reliable leakster Digital Chat Station claims that the upcoming Oppo phone (possibly the Find X10 Pro Max) will feature a 200 MP 1/1.56" ultrawide camera. If this pans out to be true, it will be the biggest ultrawide lens we have seen in a smartphone. It will be a big jump even from the best of the Find X9 series, the Find X9 Ultra, which is expected to come with a 50 MP ultrawide shooter.

The main front camera would reportedly be 200 MP 1/1.3", and the periscope lens would also be a 200 MP 1/1.3" sensor. This means we could see a triple 200 MP camera setup on the Find X10 Pro Max.
Built-in magnets support
Not only the camera, but the other leaked specifications of the upcoming Find X series also sound promising. A recently surfaced report suggests that the entire Find X10 lineup will feature built-in magnets that will make the devices compatible with MagSafe-style wireless charging.
For reference, no Android smartphone other than the Pixel 10 series supports this capability. Even the recently released Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup doesn't support it and only offers standard Qi2 wireless charging.
The availability of built-in magnets will make the phones compatible with various snap-on accessories. You would be able to charge the devices wirelessly, and that too without needing a magnet-equipped phone case.

In addition to the camera arrangement and built-in magnet supports, a few other details about the upcoming Oppo phones have surfaced online. Digital Chat Station claims in a Weibo post that the base Find X10 will come with a 6.59-inch screen supporting 1.5K resolution. The Find X10 Pro is reported to feature a 6.7-inch display with the same 1.5K resolution.
In a separate post, the same tipster reports that the base model will run on the Dimensity 9500 Plus SoC. The Pro and Pro Max variants could come with the Dimensity 9600.
Do you think we already have a winner for the best camera phone of 2027?
Oppo is redefining its tagline
Oppo's current slogan is "Make your moment," but considering the great camera phones it has been releasing recently, it should change its tagline to something like "Oppo: The camera phone." We crowned the Find X8 Ultra as the best Ultra phone of 2025. The leaked specifications of the Find X9 Ultra are making me believe that the crown will remain with Oppo this year as well.
And now, with everything coming out about the entire Find X10 family, it wouldn't be a surprise if Oppo retains the tag next year as well. All that said, there is no official confirmation from the tech brand on any of the leaked camera details. That's why I highly advise taking all this information with a grain of salt.
The Chinese smartphone giant usually releases its Find X line phones in Q4. The Ultra model is typically launched in Q1 of the subsequent year. Since there has never been a Pro Max option in the Find series, it's difficult to tell whether it will launch in Q4 of this year or in Q1 of 2027.
But I believe it will debut alongside the Ultra model in Q1 of 2027. That's because the new Max model could be very similar to the Ultra variant but at a cheaper price.
