As always, your best money-saving strategy is probably to wait for major retailers like Amazon and Walmart or phone manufacturers like Motorola to kick off their Black Friday shopping events, which could happen as early as two or three weeks from now if history is any indication.
But what if I were to tell you that the Moto G Play (2026) is on sale today at a new record low price that's unlikely to be undercut any further anytime soon? Granted, this is very clearly not Motorola's greatest Galaxy S26 Ultra or iPhone 18 Pro Max alternative right now, but at only $159.99, its bang for your buck is incredibly hard to beat.
Technically, that's not a lot lower than the handset's original US list price of $179.99 from almost a year ago, but after shockingly going up to $249.99 this April, the Moto G Play (2026) never received this kind of discount. For several months, it actually scored no notable price cuts whatsoever before temporarily dropping back to 180 bucks a few weeks back.
Unsurprisingly, that rare Woot deal didn't last long, but impressively, the e-tailer's latest offer bumps the $70 discount all the way up to 90 bucks (or 36 percent) for an undoubtedly limited time. And yes, you do get a full 1-year manufacturer warranty with your Woot purchase of a brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged, and unlocked device in a nice Pantone Tapestry color this time around as well.

As you may have gotten used to over the years, the latest Moto G Play edition is not exactly a screamer, but its MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, 120Hz refresh rate-capable 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen, and 5,200mAh battery are pretty darn impressive for just $159.99.
Our comprehensive Moto G Play (2026) review, mind you, called this thing the best $180 phone you could buy near the end of 2025, and after so many price hikes for so many (formerly) affordable devices from so many different brands, that's probably more true than ever today, especially at $160.
