Moto Z3 Play gets massive discounts and sweet freebies at Motorola, Best Buy, and B&H
The Moto Z3 Play is arguably one of the best, most versatile smartphones in the sub-$500 price bracket, even though it doesn't pack a high-end processor or offer support for that impending 5G Moto Mod, as the "regular" Z3 does. But the Z3 Play is compatible with every other feature-enhancing add-on, including a 2,220 mAh Power Pack that's been sold alongside the handset at no extra charge for quite some time now.

If you'd rather get a costlier Moto Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa Mod bundled with the Moto Z3 Play free of charge, now's the time to pull the trigger over at the manufacturer's official US e-store. Even better, the phone itself is discounted from $499.99 to $349.99 with no strings attached. In other words, 350 bucks can buy you a decent unlocked handset with full support for all four major US carriers (Verizon and Sprint included), as well as a "smart speaker" accessory that normally fetches around $150 on its own.

Alternatively, you can still purchase the modular phone together with the "standard" Moto Power Pack Mod if you're more interested in battery life than high-quality sound and Alexa voice assistance. This particular combo deal is actually available at Best Buy and B&H Photo Video at $349.99 as well, and the latter retailer even throws in a $20-worth Moto Style Shell in your choice of "Herringbone Nylon" or "Crimson Ballistic Nylon" styles.

But you can actually pay $100 less at Best Buy if you're willing to activate the Z3 Play on Sprint right away (new and existing customers eligible). Otherwise, you still have to cough up the "full" 350 bucks for the handset and a battery-expanding Mod.

While the Moto Z3 Play is not exactly a powerhouse by today's (or even last year's) standards, it does come with a respectable Snapdragon 636 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64 gigs of internal storage space, a beautiful 6-inch AMOLED display with relatively thin bezels, premium metal and glass materials, decent dual rear-facing cameras, and a not-so-bad 3,000 mAh battery considering that incredibly slender 6.8mm profile.
