Think your iPhone Duo won't arrive on October 23? You're not alone. A combination of unexpectedly high demand and extremely limited supply has left many US customers facing lengthy shipping delays.
Delivery estimates at some retailers and carriers have, surprisingly enough, been pushed to January 2027, indicating there may indeed be a supply shortage for Apple's first-ever foldable phone.
If you didn't jump on the queue when pre-orders first opened, you may want to check out which retailers and carriers give you the biggest discounts (and earliest shipping estimates) before you dive headlong.
If the iPhone Duo starts shipping next year, what would you do?

iPhone Duo at T-Mobile

The Un-carrier is giving Apple fans discounts of up to $1,000 over 36 monthly bill credits on the $1,999 foldable phone. The offer is open to new and existing customers on the Experience Beyond 2.0 plan or one of T-Mobile's legacy plans at $100/mo who trade in an eligible iPhone or Galaxy phone in any condition.
While in-store pickup is currently unavailable for T-Mobile subscribers, shipping estimates are as follows (as of October 21, 2026):
New and existing AT&T subscribers are in for even bigger savings (up to $1,200, to be exact). Like T-Mobile's offer, AT&T's promotional credit is applied over 36 monthly bill credits.
To qualify for AT&T's iPhone Duo offer, users need to activate a new line on the AT&T Premium 2.0 plan or upgrade their existing line to this plan or a higher one starting at $100/mo. Additionally, they must provide an eligible device trade-in with a minimum trade-in value of $230.
At the time of writing, AT&T accepts select iPhone, Google Pixel, and Galaxy trade-ins. Meeting those requirements will bring the monthly price down to $22.23/mo instead of $55.56/mo.
Regardless of which storage configuration you choose, AT&T currently estimates delivery around December 18, 2026. That said, exact shipping and delivery dates should be confirmed at checkout.

You can pre-order the iPhone Duo at Verizon as well, but since it recently shifted to a personalized trade-in perk, you'll need to log into your account to see all eligible savings.
However, if you select the Simplicity Pro plan and the Flex Upgrade, you can receive a $33.33/mo Simplicity Pro device credit. That brings the monthly price of the iPhone Duo to $22.22/mo.
With the included discount, the combined monthly cost amounts to $72.22 for the device and plan add-on, and the offer should be available to everyone who pairs the Simplicity Pro + Flex Upgrade plan with their foldable phone.
As of October 21, 2026, Verizon gives you the following shipping estimates:
256GB: December 11
512GB: December 4
1TB: December 11
2TB: December 4
Of course, these aren't the final delivery dates, so you may actually get your iPhone Duo later (or, hopefully, sooner) than expected.
If you're looking to get the iPhone Duo through a retailer instead of a carrier, consider Best Buy's pre-order offer. The merchant isn't currently offering unlocked versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 rival, but you can get it with a plan by Verizon or AT&T.
If you choose AT&T, you can get up to $1,200 off the iPhone Duo, provided you trade in an eligible device in good working condition. Selecting Verizon as your carrier of choice allows you to save up to $1,000 when you activate a new line and trade in a suitable phone. Alternatively, you can get it for up to $840 off when you upgrade your existing line and trade in your existing high-end phone.
Interestingly enough, Best Buy appears to be the only retailer I've come across so far that offers in-store pickup, not just shipping. The retailer estimates that shipping and in-store pickup will begin on December 14, but the final delivery date is subject to change.
When the iPhone Duo pre-orders first kicked off, many fans headed straight to the Apple Store. This could partly be the reason why the official store currently makes you wait the longest for your foldable phone to arrive. Believe it or not, the retailer estimates that your device could arrive between January 25 and January 29, 2027.
Discount-wise, the Apple Store allows you to save up to $885 on the iPhone Duo when you trade in an eligible iPhone in good working condition. That brings the total price of a fully unlocked model to $1,114 from its original $1,999 asking price.
If you're OK with an in-store pickup, Apple suggests you return on October 24 to check if you can get your hands on the iPhone Duo any sooner than January next year.
Ever since iPhone Duo pre-orders began, reports of devices reportedly being offered on eBay and other platforms started popping up. The eye-watering prices scalpers ask for aside, purchasing an iPhone Duo through an unverified seller could leave you stranded for several reasons.
When you buy through eBay or unverified third-party merchants, you may receive a device that has been tampered with. This creates significant security problems in the long run. It could also lead to warranty issues, which wouldn't be pleasant one bit.
Can you still get it earlier?

While this is slightly speculative, it could be possible to get the iPhone Duo earlier. I would recommend choosing the pre-order deal that suits you best right now and keep checking whether in-store pickup options have become available in your area.
Additionally, it might be worth checking other retailers and carriers, as their in-store pickup options may differ from those of your chosen offer.
Final thoughts
Those of you who have been waiting for the iPhone Duo for years may find those final months more than unnerving. But if you ask me, the wait will ultimately pay off.
After all, you're looking at a phone that costs nearly $2,000, and it just doesn't make sense to risk everything by buying from an unverified seller.
