Samsung's phones are just very easy to recommend. | Image by PhoneArena
This year, Apple will release the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max, while Samsung will launch the Galaxy S27 Ultra to compete with the two early next year. However, the Galaxy S27 Ultra seems to have the iPhone 18 Pro already beat in one very important metric: trust.
Most people would recommend the Galaxy S27 Ultra
It is becoming harder and harder to recommend the Galaxy S27 Ultra and the iPhone 18 Pro. Regardless, for most people, Samsung’s flagships are still king.
In a poll, we asked you what smartphone you would recommend to people nowadays. Almost 38 percent of respondents said that they would still recommend the Galaxy phones, as they are still the pinnacle of smartphone design.

Meanwhile, in second place, almost 28 percent of you said that you would recommend other smartphones not listed in the poll. This includes but is not limited to phones from the following manufacturers,
Oppo
Xiaomi
Vivo
Honor
What’s particularly of note is that these brands got more recommendations than the iPhone and the Pixel phones. Speaking of which…
iPhone recommendations come third
Around 24 percent of voters said that they would recommend an iPhone over any of the other Android phones. Functional, easy-to-use, and good enough for most consumers, you really can’t go wrong with even the mid-range iPhone models.
In last place were the Google Pixel phones, with only around 10.5 percent of respondents saying that they would recommend a Pixel phone to other people if asked. For these voters, the Pixel is the go-to Android experience nowadays.

I understand why the results are as they are
In many online tech circles, the iPhone — and just Apple in general — is hated on by the majority of posters. It makes sense, then, that even “other” smartphones got more votes than the iPhone.
But this does translate heavily into everyday life. Sure, the iPhone is ridiculously popular in the States, but there are a lot of people who would try their best to stop others from buying into the Apple ecosystem.
Though I hold that current Apple products don’t deserve the mockery they receive, this does very strongly play out in Samsung’s favor.

Abdullah loves smartphones, Virtual Reality, and audio gear. Though he covers a wide range of news his favorite is always when he gets to talk about the newest VR venture or when Apple sets the industry ablaze with another phenomenal release.
