Samsung's mid-range Galaxy A57 normally isn't the cheapest Android phone you can buy. But you can now get one at a tempting price over at Amazon. While still not ultra-cheap even at $100 off, this device becomes a lot easier to recommend right now.

In case you're wondering, this is the first proper discount I've come across for this model after the Prime Big Deal Days shopping craze. While the current discount doesn't match what Amazon offered during its 48-hour event, I think it might just be your best savings opportunity ahead of next month's Black Friday.

For those of you seeking a proper high-end experience, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is a hot pick right now.

The Galaxy A57 is one of Samsung's best Galaxy A phones. It delivers quality visuals, decent Exynos performance and camera, making it a great fit for budget-conscious shoppers. Get yours now and save $100 at Amazon.

With its 6.7-inch AMOLED display and elevated design, the Galaxy A57 looks and feels a lot closer to a high-end phone than it does to a low-tier Android phone. It's also equipped with an IP68 rating, so it should withstand everyday water and dust damage with ease.

As for performance, this Samsung phone is no flagship killer. It comes with an Exynos 1680 chip that handles light tasks without breaking a sweat, but it probably won't deliver insane gaming performance.

You're also getting decent camera performance with this model. It has a 50MP main lens, 13MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro, capturing good-looking images in perfect conditions. That said, my colleague notes the phone tends to deliver slightly unrealistic colors in some settings (see our Galaxy A57 review for reference).

With six years of OS support in tow, the Galaxy A57 is definitely one of the better mid-range Android phones in my book. While far from affordable at its usual $600 price, it's a lot more tempting at $100 off. Get yours and save while Amazon's deal is still available.
