Apple's pricier-than-ever iPad Air 13 (M4) is flying off Amazon's shelves at up to a $230 discount

Amazon doesn't seem to care about Apple's recent iPad Air price hikes, selling the latest M4-powered 13-incher at massive discounts in several variants... for a presumably limited time.

If you haven't taken advantage of Amazon's very special iPad Air (2026) sale from a little over a week ago (which wasn't technically part of the e-commerce giant's Prime Day celebrations), now is actually an even better time to buy one of the best tablets in the entire world.

That's despite (or maybe because of) the fact that Apple has finally caved in to the pressure of those rapidly increasing memory costs felt across the tech industry over the last few months. Yes, all of Cupertino's latest tablets are more expensive now than back when they made their commercial debut in the US, but not if you purchase them from Amazon.

$230 off (18%)
Powered by a blazing fast M4 processor and capable of delivering "all-day" battery life, the newest 13-inch iPad Air may have been made more attractive than ever by Apple's recent price hikes. That's because Amazon is offering huge discounts of up to $230 on three different storage variants and a couple of color options.

The M4-powered iPad Air 13, for instance, can currently be had at $200 under its new list price of $949 in an entry-level Wi-Fi-only 128GB storage variant coated in an eye-catching "Starlight" color, while the 256 gig configuration is marked down by $210 from $1,049 in a Space Gray paint job only.

Last but definitely not least, digital hoarders will be delighted to see the 512GB model (also without cellular connectivity) discounted by a whopping 230 bucks from a recently revised "regular" price of $1,249 in Space Gray, Starlight, and Purple colorways.

That might suggest that you have plenty of time to pick up this costlier variant at a new record high discount, but Amazon has less than ten units in stock for two of those three color options, so clearly, you need to hurry here.

That's obviously because Apple's price hikes make Amazon's deals extremely hard to sustain in the long run. Especially with no Prime membership required or any other strings attached. And with the iPad Air 13 (M4) easily beating all the best Android tablets out there (yes, even the more expensive ones) in terms of raw power.

Granted, Apple's non-Pro-branded 13-incher is not without fault, disappointing (a little) with its rather unremarkable 60Hz refresh rate-limited Liquid Retina IPS LCD screen. But the battery life, sound quality, long-term software support, and build quality join the ultra-zippy Apple M4 processor on a list of key strengths you simply cannot rival at these heavily reduced prices.
