Amazon is now selling Apple's powerful new AirPods Max 2 at a never-before-seen discount
Not only is this deal better than Amazon's previous offer, but it's also good on all five color options of Apple's latest over-ear headphones.

Obviously, that's not what I'd normally call a mind-blowing (or very significant) discount, but in this particular case, it does improve on Amazon's surprisingly early AirPods Max 2 promotion from a little over a month ago, and perhaps most importantly, it allows you to get your favorite colorway at an unbeatable price.
That's right, the midnight, blue, orange, purple, and starlight hues are all available at $40 off the aforementioned $549 list price, and of course, you don't have to jump through any hoops to qualify for Amazon's enhanced AirPods Max 2 discount. You can even bump that up to $50 if you think you need AppleCare+ coverage (which you probably do) and you're willing to cough up an extra 50 bucks or so for two-year peace of mind.
Compared to the original edition, this second AirPods Max generation promises to offer significantly more advanced active noise cancellation, as well as vastly superior overall sound quality with deep bass, expansive mids, and crisp highs for an "unparalleled listening experience."

Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, Live Translation, and Voice Isolation are without a doubt the AirPods Max 2's biggest new features and capabilities, and while the battery life is not improved over what the first generation can provide, the unchanged 20-hour endurance rating between (USB-C) charges can probably be considered an important achievement with all these key upgrades in mind.
Still, I'm not sure I'd recommend the AirPods Max 2 over the aforementioned Sony WH-1000XM6 to a "neutral" consumer, so maybe, just maybe you want to wait for an even heftier potential discount in the near future... if you're not addicted to buying all the latest and greatest Apple-made stuff as soon as it comes out.
