Amazon's noise-cancelling Echo Buds (2nd Gen) are on 'clearance' at Best Buy at an incredible price

There are a number of reasons why Amazon is nowhere near as successful in the hugely competitive true wireless earbuds market as the smart speaker industry it essentially established many years ago, with one of the more obvious and perhaps less substantive ones being the incoherence of its Echo Buds lineup.
The newest member of that family, released earlier this year, is curiously technically inferior to its 2021 predecessor, lacking among others active noise cancellation, which makes it pretty difficult to decide what edition to buy, especially at a hefty discount during an event like the recently concluded Prime Big Deal Days festival.
Due to their advanced age, it's also quite clear that the second-gen Echo Buds will be discontinued at some point in the not-too-distant future, and a hot new Best Buy promotion strongly suggests this could happen sooner rather than later.
That's because we are apparently looking at a "clearance" sale here, during which the retailer hopes to get rid of all remaining inventory at $56.99. That's down from a $139.99 list price, which represents a huge and totally unprecedented 59 percent discount that's unlikely to last long.
Yes, this deal even manages to eclipse what Amazon offered for its aforementioned fall Prime Day 2023 extravaganza, as well as all other past promos available at both Best Buy and the manufacturers of the Echo Buds (2021) themselves.
This is not the model normally sold at $119.99 a pair with a wired charging case included, mind you, so in addition to active noise cancellation, you'll enjoy modern wireless charging technology with your purchase too.
As you can imagine, the second-gen Echo Buds are... not the best wireless earbuds available in 2023, but they are some of the absolute cheapest to integrate noise-cancelling functionality right now, and that's definitely no small feat. The design, fit, battery life, water resistance, voice calls, and the overall audio performance are certainly not bad either... for 57 bucks, but if you want to be able to pay just $57, you clearly need to hurry and place your Best Buy order ASAP!
