Check out the new commercial for the now available Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ in Sunrise Gold

Samsung likes to add new color options to its flagship models when sales drop off. Last month, the company announced that in certain markets, it would be offering the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ in Burgundy Red and Sunrise Gold. Yesterday, the Sunrise Gold model became available in the U.S. Now, we don't believe for a moment that someone who has yet to pick up the Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+ is going to wake up one morning, and suddenly decide that he needs to buy either handset because of the new color choices. Samsung does this for another reason.

Most flagship phones sell the most when they are first launched. You see television spots for the new model running constantly. Over time, sales drop and eventually the manufacturer stops marketing the new device(s). By adding new colors, the company can rev up its marketing machine again while garnering new coverage in the media. Sales pick up because of the new attention being given to the phone(s).

With this in mind, you can now check out Samsung's new television ad for the Sunrise Gold Galaxy S9/S9+, which you'll find at the top of this article. In the U.S., the new color joins Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple as the available options for consumers to choose from.

There's no phone that even comes close to this at the moment. The only thing that will sell more and be better in the Galaxy Note 8. Galaxy S9 had the most sales of any phone in history, amazing device.

This is actually a really nice commercial. I like the fact that it's not over the top, it's simply showing what the commercial is about, which is the cool gold color, and then showcasing the device from a variety of different angles, so that people can see how it looks. I kind of like how this looks, if i wanted to show off. It looks great with Samsung's infinite design. This is simple yet efficient. The melody does help build up some hype.

"Samsung likes to add new color options to its flagship models when sales drop off". Like Apple with their red iPhones, isnĀ“t it?
