ZTE Nubia Z9 Max Elite and ZTE Nubia Z9 mini Elite to become official on October 29th?
ZTE is expected to introduce two new handsets on October 29th, the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max Elite and the ZTE Nubia Z9 mini Elite. These two are sequels to the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and ZTE Nubia Z9 mini, and add some of the latest new features such as a Type-C USB port, and a fingerprint sensor. The two phones are expected to be offered to Chinese consumers first, with support for other markets to be announced going forward.

The ZTE Nubia Z9 Max Elite features a 5.5-inch display, carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 810 SoC, containing an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 430 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of native storage. For those needing additional memory, there is a 128GB capacity microSD slot onboard for that very reason. A 16MP snapper with an f/2.0 aperture, and a Sony sensor, adorns the back of the unit. On the front is an 8MP camera for shooting selfies and handling video chats. The unit supports 4G connectivity.

The ZTE Nubia Z9 mini Elite carries a 5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution. The Snapdragon 615 chipset powers the phone, bringing an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU and the Adreno 405 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB of expandable storage. The Nubia Z9 mini Elite will come with a 16MP rear-facing camera, and an 8MP front-facing shooter. 4G LTE connectivity is supported by the unit.

Pricing for both models is unknown at the moment. However, everything we want to know about these phones should be mentioned during the October 29th event. As we move closer to that date, we should also see more news, leaks and rumors regarding these two new Nubia handsets.

Thanks for the tip!

Those phones are awesome for their price, I wanted to buy Z9 Mini but I have few doubts regarding 615 performance, other than that, great camera, SD Slot, great design, swappable back covers, beautiful screen, what's not to like? And there are AOSP ROMs for them so win-win

Get the Max version, it's around $100 more and you get so much more for the money. I have the Flaship Z9 and it's amazing. The only downside is the battery life is about on par with the Iphone 6/6s.

Their previous phones all looked pretty nice, but LTE compatibility and availability in the US have kept me from being interested in them. I'm sure they're nice phones just waiting to see a US release on something other than the ZTE max.
